I can tell you all of these things until I am blue in the face, or…I could tell you why we need more books like this one in the world (and hope that I do it justice, but I am so scared that I won’t be able to). The writing is amazing, the pictures that are added in are great, and the content is so heartbreaking and NEEDS to be heard. There are no words for me to say that could accurately review this book. And it wants the most dangerous thing of all from Conor. This monster is something different, though. He’s been expecting the one from his nightmare, the one he’s had nearly every night since his mother started her treatments, the one with the darkness and the wind and the screaming… As they do.īut it isn’t the monster Conor’s been expecting.
